Puma First Round LOT78 Graphic
Posted on | February 8, 2010 | No Comments
Sadia Rafique‘s portfolio is varied and experienced, with art direction roles in fashion, graphic design, film, photography, web design, and illustration; and her ability to express herself is no less extraordinary.
PUMA provided Sadia with the iconic First Round silhouette and she went to work handpicking fabrics, colors, trims, laces, print techniques, and designing the shoe bag to accompany the shoes. She artworked all the shoe graphics, using the factory blocks so that she could place artworks with more precision. The final design features transfers of Sadia‘s ink drawings and poetic messaging in black, white, and pink on PUMA First Rounds, enhanced by LOT 78‘s quality soft leather and suede. Quantities of the shoe are limited to 400 pairs.

Reebok ZigTech Unveiled
Posted on | February 5, 2010 | No Comments
Earlier today we got a look at Reebok’s new trainer, the Reebok ZigTech., the shoe with a ZigZag outsole. At first it was hard to tell why it’s outsole was designed in that manner. Now Reebok gives us a little show and tell as to why they chose the ZigZag Design. It’s safe to say that the Zigtech is more for performance then it is for casual wear. With that aside Reebok’s focus was on reducing the amount of wear and tear on a runners leg muscles, specifically the shins and hamstrings. In addition the shoes transfer energy horizontally along the Zigs so that energy isn’t lost but in fact transferred back to the forefoot. Slated to drop March 11th and retail for $100
