Nike Dunk Sb "Un-Heavens Gate"

Any Dunk or Sneaker head alike heard of the Heavens Gate Sb and was waiting for the release last fall. Sadly Nike scrapped the idea after photos were leaked and rumor that the color way was inspired by  Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettles,leaders of the Heavens Gate cult who convinced thirty eight people to commit suicide so that their souls can take a ride on a spaceship and eventually meet Jesus.

Anyone can see how this can be Offensive so it’s easy to see why Nike wouldn’t want to release them. Luckily Nike never fails to please it’s fans. Expected to drop sometimes in summer 09, and what have already been dubbed the “Un-Heavens Gate”. The shoe will feature the Heavens Gate color way of black,purple and white just organized differently. 

What was originally a black toe box and purple tongue is now a white toe box and white tongue, the wing tabs and ankle have also been reversed, besides that the laces still remain black and the swoosh white. As always different materials will be used including suede, leather, and cracked leather in classic Sb style.

I gotta admit although not as catchy as the original color way, the shoe is still a must have for Sneaker heads.
