2013 marks the “Year of the Snake” according to the Chinese Zodiac, in honor of said year a few brands have gone ahead and created collections, Jordan brand now joins these ranks with its take on the Air jordan 1 and MELO M9. Taking a very unique approach, both the Jordan 1 and Melo M9 take their inspirational cues from the snakes ability to detect temperature changes.
The YOTS Air Jordan 1 features a gradient style outsole which houses a suede and patent leather construction which utilizes a color scheme made to symbolize the effects of temperature change. Moving on to the MELO M9. Just like the Jordan 1, the M9 features a similar colorway with portions like the toe and heel representing the colder portions while the middle of the shoe features a series of warm colors.
The YOTS collection that will be available at retailers starting on February 2 and will carry a $280 price tag.
